Located at the most thronged and lively border crossing in Canada, University of Windsor is known to host the Cross-Border Institute, and present programs in partnership with schools in U.S, taking a fruitful advantage of its location. One such interesting initiative is the dual J.D program – an apposite collaboration with the University of Detroit Mercy that imparts ability to law graduates for practicing law in both Canada, and the U.S.
The campus is adorned with charming infrastructure, a prime example of which is the red-brick enveloped Dillon Hall, an edifice that was erected in 1928; and is linked to a strip of lush grass along the river, providing a delightful view of the Detroit skyline.
In the fall of 2015, UWindsor ushered in a new era, with the inception of classes at the first phase of the downtown campus. A new building accommodates the School of Social Work as well as the Centre for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE), while retaining the historic façade and old-world charm of the earlier Windsor Star newspaper building.
